Grant Reporting

NON-ENDOWMENT GRANTS

All grantees with non-endowment grants will use the Hearst Foundations’ Portal for grant reporting. Grant reporting is greatly valued by the Hearst Foundations. It offers grantees the opportunity to share their successes and demonstrate the impact of their work on the individuals, families and communities served during the grant period. Additionally, grant reports educate the Hearst Foundations staff on challenges and barriers to successful operations, which helps the staff learn and grow as funders. The staff seeks to assist grantees through these challenges as much as possible.

All non-endowment grant recipients are required to submit a report 13 months after a grant is awarded or until the funds have been fully expended, as outlined in the Reporting Guidelines for Non-Endowment Grants. Please read the guidelines and instructions thoroughly before beginning the online reporting process.

Due to the launch of the new portal in October 2020, all past users will need new login information. If you have not created an account, please do not select New User on the Login page, instead please reach out to the appropriate contact listed below in the Support section to set up your account.

Please Note:
While reports are not due ahead of the deadline, we do experience increased portal utilization on the day of the deadline and this can impede access to the portal. As such, please plan accordingly. If you are unable to access the portal on the deadline day, please attempt to access the portal at non-peak hours and note for subsequent years that it is helpful to submit ahead of the deadline. Please refrain from emailing or calling the Foundations’ staff to inform them of this occurrence.
